Happy Monday, friends! If your day was anything like mine, it was full of working, planning, running, organizing, and cleaning. It’s now 8:12 pm and I’m just now finally just getting a chance to sit down to write this. Seeing as it’s about 12 minutes past my bedtime (well, reading/TV/social media time), it’s probably a good idea to just get down to business.
First off? Our weekend. In a word? It was wonderful and went something like this -
Friday: homemade pizza & quality family time
Saturday: relaxing morning, lots of snuggling, mid-morning run, tailgate food and clothing (it was a chilllly one!) prep, followed by our trip to Ames for tailgating & the game. Back home by the 2nd half and in enough time to watch the Clones get the “W.”
Sunday: Eli and Cami performed with their little choir group at church, I did some birthday shopping for our November b-day babes, J watched football, the kids played outside, and we ended the evening with dinner at Rock Bottom Brewery in celebration of my brother Brian’s birthday.
Someone was glad to
see sleep on Uncle Scott.
Love these ladies.
Sweet Baby Trey. I could eat him up with a spoon.
Next up - Meal Planning Monday.
Monday: Our first ever pumpkins & pancakes family night! J made us pancakes and we finally got around to letting the kids decorate their pumpkins (pics to come. try to contain your excitement.)
Tuesday (Beggar’s Night): Crockpot Loaded Potato Soup to be consumed after a coooolllld evening of Trick or Treating.
Wednesday: Cilantro Lime Chicken
Thursday: Slow Cooker Chicken & Wild Rice Soup
Friday: Buffalo Turkey Lettuce Wraps
Saturday: Homemade Hot Pockets
Annnd, there you have it! It’s now 8:27 pm (I was called away to retrieve a stuffed animal, fix a slipper, and to “sing You Are My Sunshine jus one mo time, Mama?”) and I’m officially 27 minutes late for a date with my bed. Sweet dreams, friends!
