Well, it's here:  The day I've been dreading for almost 2 weeks.  I was up and at 'em bright and early to run and work this morning, J and Addi headed off to school, and life has now resumed to our regular schedules.

Boo.

But, while I'm bummed that our lazy days of togetherness are over, I'm enjoying the excitement of a new year and the potential for fresh starts -- in all aspects of life.  I've never really been one for New Year's resolutions, but I did jot down a few and it feels good to re-focus on goals for a new year/better me!  How about you?  Did you make any New Year's resolutions?

Remember how I told you last week how we weren't quite done with our Christmases?  And that we were planning on celebrating with J's family on NYE?  Yeah?  Well, it was awesome.  Saturday afternoon we headed over to J's parents, where we enjoyed lots of yummy food, great company, a TON of presents, and plenty of time to just hang out/play together.  You gotta love any family gathering that concludes with everyone wearing jammies/slippers and eating frosty malts.  I mean, that's what I call a celebration!

I, apparently, left my camera at casa de in-laws, so you'll have to settle for a picture recap via Instagram.  And let's be honest...iPhone + Instagram kind of one-up my photography skills these days anyway (which brings me to New Year's resolution #6...).  Here it is:
