Meal Planning Monday/Randomness

We have a super crazy week ahead of us and our meals might end up reflecting that.  However, I did make a meal plan in an effort to minimize the chaos, but they're pretty much all dinners that can be switched up, postponed, or omitted completely.  So here's the very rough draft:

Monday: Homemade Mac and Cheese (carried over from last week)

Tuesday: Shepherd's Pie (another carry-over)

Wednesday: Bacon Ranch Slow Cooker Chicken

Thursday: Homemade Arby's Roast Beef Sandwiches

Friday: Salsa Chicken and Rice (another one that's been on the menu for a couple weeks, but we just haven't gotten to!)

And a little randomness for your Monday:

1. I've finally figured out the perfect pretzel to candy corn ratio.  It's 2:1, if you're wondering.

2. The kids were off of school today in observance of Columbus Day.  Normally on their days off, I need to have my game face on and be super prepared to entertain, but the 2 littles are still on the sick side, so I declared it a jammies/relaxation day.  Addi must have sensed my lack of preparation and took it upon her self to coordinate activities.

She handed me this sign up sheet and told me to "register the kids" for either moozik (music) class, daycare, or scool (school). I did and she went into music teacher/daycare provider/school teacher mode.  Her little siblings followed Addi's lead and they played that way until I broke out the Halloween crafts. Thank you, God, for the creativeness and leadership of our first born and her heart for the 3 sets of eyes looking up to her.

3. I was having a hard time deciding what to do for Cam and Kai's birthdays next month UNTIL my almost 3-year-old became insistent on having a "zebra pa-dee!"  Soooo, zebras it is!

4. In the middle of a bathroom-less park adventure last week, said almost 3-year-old had to go poo. Not wanting to disrupt the fun, I threw a too small diaper on her and shooed her in the direction of the semi-private sandbox to do her biz.  She wasn't necessarily a huge fan of the plan, but obliged knowing she would get to stay and play.

Welp, I guess that's all for now.  Later gators.
