Yesterday marked Day 1 of 3-day preschool for my little man.  And WHOA - what a difference a year makes!  Last year (almost everyday!) I would pull him off of me, kicking and screaming, then place him in the unassuming arms of a very sweet, underpaid teacher who would spent the next 2 hours trying to calm and comfort him.  But this year at drop off?  Just a few stray tears and a long, tight hug. And then he did fine.  No, better than fine.  He did GREAT, which totally left my heart bursting with pride for my brave boy. He has come a looooong way.

He was threatening me telling me to only take "1 more picture!"

This kid who, by the way, is solely responsible for approximately 1/2 of all the silliness in this house (and, incidentally, 3/4 of all the stretchmarks on my belly) keeps me on my toes!  He's unpredictable in every way.  Predictably unpredictable.  And I like it that way.  No, I love it that way.  Life would be downright boring without his ever-changing temperament and always-contagious laughter.

Bring it, 3-day preschool, E-man is ready for you!

That's awesome!! My daughter is in first grade and she just as in last week started going into the class room without being pulled off of me.
