Let me tell you a story....

I have a new best friend.  His name is Frank.  Frank owns a small thrift store, called Herb's Salvage, about 15 miles from Casa de Starr.  On our first visit to Frank's shop we went right after church one Sunday and had all 4 kids in tow.  We were in and out, but still managed to score a few fun finds, including this vintage Pepsi crate I showed you last week.

Since that quick trip I've been religiously checking Herb's blog in search of the perfect dresser/table/bench for our entryway.  I had faith Frank and his little shop would come through in the end.  And yesterday, my friends, that faith paid off when I found this beauty...

It was LOVE at first sight, ugly green paint (my brother's words) and all.  Lucky for me I have a husband who trusts me when I email him pictures of old, avocado colored dressers even though he can't "see my vision."  AND a dad willing to be my furniture mover/delivery driver.  These 2 guys sure are good to me and oh-so tolerant of my thrifting ways.

I have a feeling Frank and I will be getting to know each other very well.  After all, we share a passion for old "crap" (he he he, Molly, that one was for you!).  So, if you're in the area and enjoy finding beautiful junk, head on over to Herb's Salvage and tell Frank I said hello.

The end.

Oh....I LOVE it tooo...I so would have wanted it too! I may be in trouble knowing about this place. Are the prices reasonable? Like if you don't mind ballpark what did you pay for the dresser?

That is amazing!!
Alisa and I went the other day. We didn't find anything, but I liked seeing all the color ideas and can totally see if you were looking for a specific funky piece, it would be the place to go.

I hope you have some luck at Antiques for Freaks and Geeks! It's super funky and it's usually half off, or she says if you grab a pile of stuff you can make an offer. So you need to go with your game face on. :)
(it's close to the corner of Delaware and Broadway in a big warehouse)
