We're baaaack...

We were gone for a quick (but glorious!) 3 days and I somehow managed to take 327 pictures to document the adventure.

(That's my way of telling you that you're about too see a LOT of pics)

Here's the run down (in pictures, of course!).

a little light reading for the drive. ps i love the duggars.

one of our {many} stops along the way.

checking out the hotel. excitement is high. can you see it in their eyes?
After we arrived at the hotel we did a quick tour, then went back to our room and got ready to pick up my brother and head to the Royals baseball game.  A few things you need to know about that night: 1. The temperature at game-time was a balmy 107 degrees. 2. The stadium has an AMAZING kids area and we took FULL advantage of it. field, splash pad, carousel, mini golf and many more activities. 3. We lasted 4 long innings. 4. And spent $22 dollars on 5 water bottles, which we refilled no less than 3 times each.

Eli fulfilled is life long (almost 4-year!) dream of hitting on this little Royals field. And I don't mean to brag, but he was awesome. Seriously, 3 for 5 his first time up and 5 for 5 the second time. He kind of, sort of showed up kids twice his age.  Even better? My shy little guy just walked right up to the plate as if he owned the place.  Proud mommy moment for sure!

The next morning we went to breakfast that a restaurant in our hotel.

After breakfast we headed to the water park in our hotel. I took no pictures, mainly because it was wet, but also because no picture I could take would be better than {this}. Hands down, this was the highlight of our trip. We watched our kids run, splash, play, and conquer their fears as they plunged down water slides that I thought for sure were too big for them.  Nope. I have a nasty habit of underestimating them.

When everyone was sufficiently wore out, we went back to our rooms for quick naps. Naps were followed up with a trip to the Cub Club, an art studio/playroom in our hotel.

After that we were off to dinner with my parents and Scott at Raglan Road, a restaurant we first tried in Disney World.

Being silly outside the restaurant.

We capped off the night with a visit to Scott's bachelor pad/apartment. He's living a pretty sweet life these days.

Yesterday we checked out of our hotel, grabbed breakfast, did some shopping at the Legend's Outlet Mall, then made our journey back to reality home.

yes, i had to make him take this picture with me.

Happy weekend!  We've got some fun birthday festivites planned...I'm excited to share!
