Welp.  We did it.  And without {many} tears. The first day of kindergarten was "great" according to my little student. She was all smiles as we dropped her off and didn't even bat an eye when we said our goodbyes.  One thing is for sure: this little girl is MUCH braver than I am/was/will ever be. And that, my friends, makes this mama proud.

Oh, and I have to tell you...I missed my sweet girl something fierce! I spotted her early at pick-up and it took everything in me to not run over and squeeze that tanned little bod in front of all the cool kindergartners.  But in the end I played it cool with a smile and a "How was your day?" Until we got in the car.  Then I hugged her little brains out.

Right now my little kindergartner is getting her beauty sleep.  In her room. Next to her brother's. Around the corner from her sister's. Down the hall from ours. In our home. Right where she belongs. And that's just how I like it.

Oh I know this is SO hard, we did it last year with my oldest.
And let me tell you I am feeling the same sadness with her going back to 1st grade! But she is super excited which helps me :)I am loving the pictures! Too cute!

I think sending them off to school the first time is the hardest. Then when they graduate Kindergarten and it's your last one..knowing it's the last Kindergarten grad you'll attend...that's even harder. I cried last year as my youngest graduated Kinder. It was so hard!

My heart might be breaking... thanks for the hot tears! My Lex started Monday, and for sure, I am way more nervous than she!
