Thank goodness it's Monday. Yeah, I said it.
While our weekend was nice, I'm thankful for today -- a fresh start. A chance to redeem myself.
Last week wasn't my finest as a friend/wife/parent/daughter. I was short tempered, emotional, impatient, and distant. My baby swallowed 2 different hair accessories on 2 different days, which meant that I found myself sitting in Urgent care (yet again), and subsequently sifting through nasty baby poo. Praise God for the amazing intrinsic workings of the human digestive system.
Moving on. Addi started Sports Life Camp at our Church today and I can tell already it's going to be an incredible week! She's been practicing a new arsenal of cheerleading moves since getting home and can't wait to go back tomorrow. I loved today's scripture sent home with my little camper.
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. Hebrews 12:1
I'm thankful to know a God that has given us the endurance to face even the most challenging of weeks and the poopiest of situations. Literally.
