How was your weekend? Our was nice. A 7 out of 10, I'd say. Also, it was probably our last free weekend for a while, as baseball games and tournaments start up this week. Oh boy. That means we'll be eating at the ballpark 2 nights this week (hooray for hot dogs!) and it also means that I don't have much to post for a Meal Planning Monday. Well, that and the fact that some of the coaches' wives did a nice little meal exchange last night, and I now have a freezer full of casseroles that I plan I utilizing as need be.
Back to our weekend -- it was kind of a whirlwind. Friday night the kids and I hung out at home while J was at practice. Saturday morning J took the 3 big kids on a few errands with him while I enjoyed some peace and quiet (after a loooong night!) and coffee. When they got home we all loaded back up and headed to the Farmer's Market in town. It's just a little one, but there was plenty of freshly grown yummy-ness to choose from. That afternoon J mowed, the big kids played, Addi had a t-ball game, and I took Kaiah to the urgent care clinic for some nasty respiratory stuff she's been fighting. We rounded out the day with a graduation party and a trip to Target.
Yesterday we did church, lunch at my parents, naps, the meal exchange, and dinner with the coaches' wives for me. Oh, and I also ran 10 miles in preparation for the race in 2 weeks. I'm not going to lie -- it was h.a.r.d. My little jaunt included 2 emergency bathroom breaks and one hardcore wipe out on First Street. But I did it. And I'm getting excited for the real deal. Here's my running schedule for this week as long as the weather cooperates.
