How was your weekend? Ours was pretty great. It included lots of outdoor time, some yard work, errands, family dinners, a trip to the mall for me (I can't tell you the last time that happened.), and a whole lotta togetherness. And that's a good thing because today marks the beginning of single parenthood for 3 months. That's right, folks...it's baseball season yet again. It is with mixed emotions that we welcome sping and summer every year. We love going to games, cheering on Coach Starr and the Hawks, and being outside. However, practices, games, meetings, and fundraising take up a whole lot of time -- time we're used to spending with Coach. I'm especially thankful for our families during this season of our lives. They help me out, watch the kids, keep us company, and often feed our fam. They're great. Really, really great.
Anyhoo, I have yet to get groceries for the week. However, I do have a few dinners planned and here's what's on the menu.
Monday: Breakfast for dinner
Tuesday: Turkey Meatloaf and rolls
Wednesday: Baked Potatoes
Thursday: BLTs with avocados and sweet potato fries
Friday: Chicken Penne
Saturday: I can tell you right now -- I refuse to cook!
Finally, a message to my hubby:
J, we love you and will see you at the ball field, then back at home in August. xoxoxoxo
