This 'n that...

  • 2 of our 4 munchkins are staying with grandparents tonight, which means we're feeling the pressure to be productive.  Will it be dinner and Costco?  Or dinner and bedroom painting?  They're difficult decisions, but someone has gotta make 'em.
  • I've worked out almost everyday for the last 2 weeks.  And what do I have to show for it?  Nothing.  Absolutely nothing, except for sore legs and more laundry. Not even one measly pound.  Ugh. I can think of very few things more frustrating. It's enough to make me eat a pint of Ben & Jerry's. However, I know this is how my body works.  After each pregnancy it's taken me 4 months to even begin shedding some weight, 6 months to start feeling good again, and 9 months to hit my goal. Again, ugh. It's like my baby-feeding body needs to hold on to those precious pounds in order to plump up the peanut.  And if that's the case, then I guess I'm ok with it.
  • {These} (minus the Christmas sprinkles and peppermint) were a hit with Addi and her friends at school today.  She was the VIP (Very Important Preschooler, duh!) and it was the perfect excuse for a fun snack. Our little VIP did a fantastic job sharing about herself and it was such a delight seeing her interact with classmates and teachers.
  • When I was 3 or so, a chubby, blond haired little boy, wearing overalls (& nothing underneath)  snuck into my bedroom and stood at the foot of my bed until I woke up.  When I noticed him standing there, I shot from my bed and sprinted past him into my parents room.  They assure me it was a dream. I'm know he was real.
  • Along those lines, I have very vivid memories of my parents making me eat Kumla while sitting under the kitchen table.  Once again, they are adamant that I'm dreaming, but one just doesn't make something like that up.
  • As a child I was totally.and.completely.100%.normal.  Uh-huh.
  • In 5th grade I wore black Asics volleyball shoes, cut-off denim shorts, and a red Chicago Bulls t-shirt.  OMGoodness, I felt so cool.
  • My mom made my first "Cabbage Patch" doll.  Her name was Tabitha Sue.
  • I have a nose ring, a tattoo, 3 ear piercings on each side, and I used to have a belly ring.  I still have the nose ring, my tattoo is faded, I only use one hole in each ear, and my belly button (referred to as the "black hole" by my husband) sags to my knees.
  • We're eating {here} with my family tomorrow night.  Take a minute and check out the menu. Have you ever seen so much deliciousness all in one place?
  • Taking a picture of all my cute circus acts smiling/looking at the camera is a difficult task.
  • Clearly, I have too much time on my hands (yeah right!) and enjoy photo editing fun.

Happy Friday, friends!

They are precious Missy... you are so blessed with absolutely LOVELY kiddos! My Lexi had that crown shirt, she JUST grew out of it!

The overall boy story isn't settling well... I'm not sure I should have read that before bed.

LOVE the third pic where Addi and Kaiah are looking at Cami like "Come on girl... get it together!"

After just reading about how my c-section overhang/mothers apron (whatever you want to call it) is something that can't be exercised away, I really appreciate your belly button black hole comment.
Your kids are adorable, as always. :)
