Quatro Update: 38 weeks 4 days

Well, it seems that this will be my last baby in the belly update.  I went to the doctor earlier this week and the report was that everything looked good.  I was "at least a good 3 cm dilated," (still!) and baby was "very low."  And since my cervix is "more than favorable," Dr. Feltz recommended scheduling an induction/augmentation for next week.  Tuesday, to be more specific.  He pointed out that my blood pressure has been creeping up each week and "with my history of deliveries" he'd like to "get me delivered." So, who am I to argue?  Actually, I have my doubts about whether or not we'll actually make it to Tuesday to meet this little peanut, but either way...he/she is a comin'!  And we couldn't be more excited!!

We were in almost the exact same situation with Elijah and the induction/augmentation went wonderfully.  I'm totally confident that Tuesday will be the same.

Soooo...I'm in full nesting mode AND quickly attempting to throw together a little birthday shin-dig for our very soon-to-be 2-year-old.  I'm doing my best to keep the preparations to a minimum, which, I admit, is a difficult task for me.  However, I'm trying to give myself a break and tell myself that she doesn't know the difference or care if there isn't a "theme," formal invitations, or an over-the-top cake. There will be family, food, cake with candles, and a few presents.  That's all a 2-year-old needs anyway, right?!?

I don't have any belly pics to share this week, as I hope to grab some later this weekend or Monday night before the "big day."

So, that's the scoop. We'll be sure to post either Monday before baby day or on Tuesday to update on the arrival of Quatro.  Maybe, if you're lucky, we'll have another guest post from Mr. Starr himself.  Maybe.  :)

Thank you so much for all the support and well wishes.  We can't wait to show off our little sweetheart.
