Today is October 1. Seriously. How did that happen?!?
You know what this means, right? It means that there's a good chance I'll be having a baby this month. Wowzers. Of course, little Quatro could also surprise us all and wait until his/her actual due date month to make an appearance, unlike 2/3 of our other children. Only time will tell, but if I was a betting woman, I'd say this little bambino will be here before Halloween. Again, wowzers!
Speaking of Halloween. Someone asked me just the other day if my kids were ready for Halloween. And honestly? We haven't really even talked about it yet. There's so much going on this month from football games and my little brother's wedding, to school and the arrival of Quatro, that we really haven't thought that far a head. So, yesterday I pulled out all of our Rubbermaid containers marked "Halloween/Fall" and started to put it all in it's place around the house. I have just a couple of thoughts on this process: 1. How did we get so much crap? And 2. Why, oh why, must I insist on making "decorating" harder than it is? I accessorize, stand back, look at it from one angel, change angels, rearrange said accessories, and repeat the process until I'm happy, which in this case, still hasn't happened. Our living area looks like the Giant Pumpkin exploded. Yet, here I am blogging and NOT cleaning, organizing, and decorating.
One more thing before I get back to work.
On Wednesday I had the pleasure of meeting up with Miss Allison to have some pregnancy pics taken. This is something that I've never done with any of my other kiddos, but since this is most likely my last, I was convinced that now was the perfect time. I'd be lying if I said that it wasn't a little awkward...posing and having just my picture taken and all, but Allison was wonderful (as usual!), patient, and gave me just the right amount of direction. Here's one of my favorite shots from the preview on her blog. Head over to check out the others and keep checking back to see more. I, for one, can't wait!
Wishing you a wonderfully, relaxing weekend!
