My mom just picked up the kids and I have like 15 minutes before a friend arrives to drive us to Pella for a going away party for another one of our friends.  For the first time in a LONG time I have the house to myself.  Even if it is just for 15 minutes.  So, what am I doing?  Straightening my hair and blogging.  Seems about right.

Our weekend was great.  Painting the kitchen was high on my to-do list and we never even got around to it.  Yet, somehow, I still feel productive.  It's amazing how much you can get accomplished when you're feeling good, your parenting partner is home, and when the weather is nice!

I cleaned the house, freshened up a bit of the decor around here (I love summery colors!), worked on a few projects (hello, spray paint and glue gun.  I missed you!), spent time by the pool, went to church, ate lunch with family, and enjoyed a wonderful afternoon outside working, walking, playing, and eating popsicles.

What else?  Oh yeah, only 2 1/2 more days of school for Mr. Starr.  He's more than ready and the kids and I can't wait to have him home between games and practices!  We're craving a change of pace and schedule.

Also, I've had a few people ask for a little pregnancy/baby update, so I'll do my best to post that sometime this week.  As a preview...How am I?  Big.  How's the baby?  Wiggley (and I love it!). :)

Welp, my 15 minutes are about up.  I might get wild and crazy and quick try to fold a load of clothes in peace before my doorbell rings.

AND, in case there was ever any doubt...He is soooo his father's son.

Oh, I could just sqeeze him.  Today he tried to make me kiss him through the catcher's mask.  I went for it because I'm pretty sure that will be the last time he ever lets me show him affection while wearing sporting equipment. :)

For the record, I could squeeze him, too! Also, did NOT let him try to eat his Chicken fingers with the catchers mask on tonight! :)
