They're my world, the reason I began blogging in the first place. I'm not a scrapbooker and I just plain suck at writing in their baby books. But blogging. Blogging I can do (kind of!).
Funny, crazy things happen in this house every.single.day. The little darlings sick tiny toys up their noses, say hillarious things, dance like no one is watching, drink the dog's water, and just plain keep us on our toes. And I don't want to forget one single moment. Chances are, 10 years from now my chalkboard wall will be long gone and my Craigslist bench re-do will be out of style, but those aren't the things I'll care to remember. I want to remember the fun, the business, and the craziness of our everyday lives. I want to remember every.little.thing my kids do, how they look (hence all the pictures), what they say, who they play with, what they sleep with, how many teeth they have, their favorite toys, and all the food they refuse to eat.
This is why over the next couple of weeks I am going to do separate updates on all of my babies. A post just for them -- and it won't even be their birthday! I realize I might lose some of you new fancy-schmancy (and I mean that in the most respectful way possible!) decorating "followers" in the midst of these "boring" my-kids-are-the-cutest-on-the-planet-posts. But this is me. The whole decorating thing -- well, that's hot and cold for me. I do it when I'm in the mood. But, my kids. My kids, I'm always in the mood for and I want to remember these days.
So, just a heads-up of what is to come these next couple of weeks. Grandmas, put on your reading glasses. And to those of you who don't know me or my kids: there will be no hard feelings should you choose to skip over my surely sentimental kid-centered posts. BUT, I promise to mix in a huge DIY reveal and show-off our new pantry/craft closet.
Happy Friday, everyone!
