Weekend Wrap-up...

Another good one in the books.

Friday night J and I mustered up all the motivation we could find (which was hardly any!) and took the kids for Pancheros for dinner, then to Home Depot to pick up paint for our weekend project. More on that later. I'm wondering...is my husband the only one that leads his family to the "tractors" (John Deere mowers), then stands there drooling and pleading his case as to why he needs one, as though he is standing before God at the gates of heaven?!? Bless his heart.

Our little athlete took the court once again on Saturday morning for her 2nd basketball game. Only this time, she was wearing much longer shorts after being subjected to the criticism and ridicule of her adoring, apparently athletic apparel authority uncles following her basketball debut. They sure do love her, though. Addi played a great game, hustled the entire time, and shook hands with the opposing team like she was greeting her best friends after the game. Coach Starr did a great job too and demonstrated the patience of a saint. Saturday afternoon was spent running errands and working on our little project before we joined my family for dinner at Old Chicago.

Addi took advantage of her daddy being the coach and spent much of the game cuddling him and trying to hold his hand.

Yesterday we went to Church, hung around the house, had naps, and finished up our project.

Are you tired of hearing about THE project yet? Want to see pictures? I hope so, because I can't wait to share!!!

I love nearly everything about our house. However, the one thing that it was missing was a good entryway from the garage/place to put coats & shoes. Enter: my handyman dad. I mentioned to him that I would love a bench and shelf for storage, hanging, and shoe placing and he ran with the idea! Here's what he came up with....

And because I must give credit where credit is due: Dad, thank you sooooo much! We LOVE it and you!
