My best friend from college, Marissa, got married on Saturday night and, as her Matron of Honor, the weekend was filled with wedding excitement.
Friday night J and I took the kids out a little early to do some Trick or Treating at the homes of family around town. I, then, rushed to the wedding rehearsal and dinner, while J took the kids home to hand out candy.
Saturday morning I was up and at 'em bright and early to pick up breakfast and the bride, then we headed to the salon for our hair appointments. Once we were beautified to the fullest, it was off to the Church to finish getting ready, followed by pictures and the wonderful wedding.
The reception was at the gorgeous White Oak Winery. We spent the evening eating and dancing! And, I must give credit where credit is due...J (along with some help from my parents) got all of the kids ready by himself and brought them to the reception. Impressive, huh?!? Father of the year, fo' sho'! Once at the reception Addi and Eli were dancing machines! Of course, I have no pictures as proof, so you'll have to take my word for it.
There was a brunch in honor of the newlyweds on Sunday morning, and since Camden was going through a little mommy-withdrawal (Saturday is the longest we have ever been apart!), I decided to take her with me. The rest of Sunday was spent relaxing, cleaning, playing outside, eating popcorn on the floor of the family room, and watching a little TV. The perfect end to a wonderful weekend.
Well, look-y there...I've completed my weekend wrap-up just in time for another weekend! It sure does make the week go fast when you don't have time to reflect on the previous weekend until Thursday! :)
