Wardrobes, Walgreens, and a not-so-wordless Wednesday

Hello, blogging friends! I have a very important question for you all. And let me preface it by saying that I do know there are real problems in our world today and this is not one of them. War, starving children, abuse, and towns without Target, just to name a few. Again, this may seem shallow, but I need to know.

Ok? Ok. Here goes...

What are your thoughts on trendy, skinny jeans I'm seeing everywhere? I mean, really, I'm beginning to love the look, but I'm just not so sure that these thighs and stumpy legs can pull it off. I want your honest opinions here. I'm drawn to them, especially, teamed-up with a super cute boot. However, it's no secret that I've got a bit of a ghetto booty and I'm worried that a skinny jean might just accent that *ahem* attribute. Thoughts? I'm serious, people, I want to know: Are you wearing a skinny jean? Opinions on who should and who shouldn't? Chandra, Kendra, and all my other fashionista blogger friends, tell me what you think!!

I must say, however, even if encourage me to stick to my wider leg jeans
there's a good chance that if you see me out and about in the coming weeks you may just see me doing my best to feel fabulous in practically painted on, skinny denim. And, please, as a favor to me -- just smile and tell me that my butt has never looked better.

As you can tell, I have really important things on my mind lately. Thanks for playing along and not judging.

In other really important, earth shattering news...I {heart} Walgreens. Honestly, it's a love/hate relationship. But this week I've got nothin' but love for the big "W." Yesterday I scored on a 10 pack of baby/toddler sporty socks for just $6. And these are the kind that actually stay on the baby's feet. You moms know what I'm talking about. How annoying is it when you can't keep your kid's socks on her/his piggies?!? Plus, they look super warm. Bonus.

I also found a ridiculously good deal on dried fruit -- 1 box for $1! My kids loooove fruit and I love that they love it. It's one of those things that I don't mind letting them have a lot of and we often times give them dried fruit as a snack. Oh, and right next to the dried fruit was yogurt covered raisins, again 1 box for $1. Score.

See? I told you. Really important things.

Finally, a not-so-wordless Wednesday pic.

I adore this picture.

The big kids were playing "dance recital." Addi was wearing one of her Aunt Lana's old costumes and Eli thought he needed a costume, too. So, I found a pair of shorts that almost look like capris (oh, his dad will love that!) stuffed in the back of his closet and his "fancy" dress shoes from last winter. Wa-la! To a 2-year-old this was a pretty rockin' costume and you could tell he thought he was hot stuff! I'm still kicking myself for not getting a video of the actual dance. Stinkin' hilarious!

That's all I got for now.

Happy Hump Day!

First, the picture is hilarious!!!

On to the most "important" part of my commenting. GO FOR IT!!!! Skinny is in and it's not going anywhere! I finally gave in last year and got a pair of skinny jeans. I'll email you a pic so you can see how to wear it. Jo-Lo or flat you can pull it off. Start with what is a problem area. If it's the booty, then wear a sweater/tunic to cover. Sometimes you waist can get lost in this look, so throw a belt on.

It's a fabulous look, and I want to wear my skinny's every day!

I also work at this cute little shop, part time while Kyle has football season, and I'm constantly showing mom's how to incorporate their style into today's fashion forward looks. Check it out.

can't wait for the pics!

#1 If I looked like you I would wear skinny jeans everyday! Yes tucked into boots or with flats and a tunic with a belt.

#2 I constantly dress Dixon in manpris!

Great post Miss!
Loev your love/hate relationship with Walgreens! I personally love CVS! Great Coupons when you use their card!
Anyways, about the skinny jeans. I think it is sort of ironic they call them that, when I feel that most of the time they make you feel bigger! I say, if you find a pair and you feel confident in them...go for it! Personally, for me and being all of 5 ft. 2.5 inches....they make me look even shorter and I just don't think they are the best look on me. However, if you had a good pair of shooties (shoes + boots...the latest in footwear) with a heel and a blousy top or tunic then I think it would be a great look. Did you get all that?? LOL

1. Seriously, if you don't wear them I would be mad at you! You can TOTALLY rock them!!!
2. I, too, heart Walgreens. They have some super sales, and gotta say, some of their coupons are ridiculously great!
3. Love the dance costumes. Dying to know what J said.
4. Speaking of J, ask him why he's MIA on email this year...
