They say it's your birthday...

This little lady is four-years-old today. And, just like Christmas, birthdays are always waaay better with kids! Her day started with cinnamon rolls, presents, party hats and playing. Sounds like a pretty rockin' day, no?

As I sit here I can't help but to be a bit nostolgic about this day four years ago. I blogged about it here, here, and here. I was new to blogging back then, obviously. For those who don't want to take the time to read all three posts here is a brief recap:

Went for my 36-week appointment and found out I was 3-4 cm dilated, 90% effaced, 0 station, with a bulging bag of water.
Sent to the hospital to receive contraction-stopping medication.
Sent home to rest.
Went to J's sisters wedding rehearsal.
Wait. What? I forgot to mention that J's sister was getting married the next day? Oh, so I did. Well, yes she was. Does that make the story any better?
Got up the next morning. Ate breakfast, got my hair done, went to the Church, got ready for the wedding.
Wedding pictures started. So did my contractions.
Took two pictures and headed off to the hospital.
Arrived at the hospital - me in my bridesmaid dress, J in his tux.
My parents and Scott (Brian was on a fishing trip) arrived soon after.
Around midnight I was still only dilated to a 5, so we all decided to get some rest.
20 minutes later I looked around the room to see everyone sleeping while I was having some major "pressure." We all know what that "pressure" means.
The doctor was called. She took forever.
Doctor showed sometime after 1 am.
Miss Addison Clark made her appearance after three or so pushes at 1:38 am.
And the rest, as they say, is history.

*sigh* Where has the time gone? It has been an honor to see Addi grow before my eyes. She's really just the sweetest girl.

Here's a little about Miss Addison.

Addi, at the age of four you:
* Sleep very well at night and not so great during naps.
* You like to be tucked under your Dora blanket.
* You often say, "Here we go again", "I still love you", "I got a deal."
* We can find you dancing and singing at all hours of the day.
* You love the Imagination Movers, mac and cheese, coloring, doing "projects," and picking out your own clothes.
* Addi, you can write your own name, recite your address (most days!), and are always on the look out for octagons.
* Miss Sue is your preschool teacher.
* Your doll house and princesses provide you with hours of entertainment.
* You swim like a fish!
* Dumbo is your favorite movie.
* You like to ride your bike, color with sidewalk chalk, and "hit some tees."
* You make Camden giggle by being silly.
* You often call Eli a "coo-coo bird."
* You're mommy's shopping partner and daddy's adventure buddy.
* You refuse to go in the basement by yourself.
* You'd rather shower than take a bath.
* You're just plain ol' tough. Not much makes you cry.
* You can unbuckle your own seatbelt after asking "Are you done driving?"
* Daddy is your go-to hair guy. Mommy "pulls too hard."
* You're a great helper and are soooo kind to your brother and sister.

Four years ago today you made me a mommy and showed me a kind of love I never knew existed. Thank you, sissy.

Happy birthday, Addi girl. We love you.
