Ready for week three? This week's must have isn't really a product, but rather a tip/trick that works for us. So, here it is...
I must admit when I came to grips with the fact that I was going to have 3 kids 3 and under (two of which would still be in diapers) I had my moments of panic.
How would I give everyone equal attention? What if Addi needed to potty when I was feeding the baby? Would Elijah stop being my baby at the tender age of 15 months just because there was a new baby? How would I go on walks with three kids (we own 5 strollers -- none of which are triple strollers)? When out and about how would I carry a 15 month old and a newborn in a carseat, while still holding my 3 year old's hand?
Now, 7 months into the journey of 3, 3 and under, I'm happy to say we're enjoying the ride! Each day presents unique challenges, but we take them one at a time and work together to make it through the day. Obviously, we've had to make some adjustments and tweak some logistics, all the while being creative and flexible. So, when we were presented with the "matching diapers" dilemma after Camden out grew the Pampers Swaddlers (yes, we're a Pampers only family) and her diapers looked exactly like her brothers, we put on our thinking hats and came up with a solution.
So, today's Must Have Monday piece of advice is this:
Color coated diapers.
The rule in our house is when you open a box of diapers you grab a blue or pink marker, depending on who's diapers you're opening, and mark them up. Note: This is only an issue in the family room of our house, where 50% of the diapers are changed. All diapers are placed in the same storage container -- hence the problem -- hence the need for a solution.
There you have it. Today's Must Have Monday tip/trick.
