Well, well, well...look who's posting on a Monday.

I bet it'll be Tuesday before most of you realized you missed me on Monday.

Anyhoo, I thought I'd do a little weekend recap and share with you my new start of the week blogging motivation.

First things first. My cup 'o love is overflowing after the stellar weekend. Friday night we embraced the rain, hunkered down inside and made it a game night! Scott and Jenni accompanied me on the journey of total domination...against Mr. Cocky Big Head, that is. Winning is so much sweeter when it's against my own (self-proclaimed King of Games) husband.

Saturday we made our first trip to the zoo as a family of five (**pics to come -- I'm living on borrowed time before the end of naptime). The kids LOVED it and I'm always encouraged by a tantrum-less, fighting-free, smiles-galore outting. The zoo was followed by naps, which was followed by swimming, a BBQ, and a bonfire (smores, included!) at my parents.

Taking advantage of our day of rest, Sunday we walked to Church, relaxed, did a little yard work and I made a couple freezer meals.

Today I woke up feeling refreshed for the first time in a long time. Wonder how long my refresh-ment will last?!?

On to my blogging motivation for Monday's....I'm calling it, "Must-have Monday."

As a general rule, I shy away from giving advice. Mainly because I learned early on in this parenting journey that what works for me, might not work for you. This being said, however, there are several things in my life that I simply can not live without. It may be an appliance, baby product, book, or toilet paper. So, my Monday motivation is not going to be to advise you to use these things, but rather to share with you what I consider a "must-have" in this household.

So, shall we begin?

Topping my list of "must-haves" is the Magic Bullet. I used to lust over this infomercial product at 2 am when I was up feeding babies. This last Christmas my lust became love when I bought the Bullet as a grab bag gift for J's family Christmas game exchange and I ended up with my own gift. Their loss, my gain. It was all in the Christmas spirit, of course.

So, why is this little blender so fan-tab-ulous?!? Well, besides the daily smoothies, shakes, and iced coffees being served at our house, I also use it to whip up baby food, make fresh salsa, hummus, and honey butter. Plus, the Bullet also comes with it's own recipe book, full of quick, easy recipes.

And to all the nay-sayers who ask "why is the Magic Bullet any different from a blender?" My answer? I have no idea. It just seems so much easier, powerful, faster, cleaner, and all round cooler than my big 'ol clunky, square shaped blender.

My suggestion? Bite the bullet and buy a bullet.

That's that, folks. My first week of "Must-have Monday." I survived and it was pretty painless, to boot.

Wanna play? What are the must-haves around your house? Join me. It won't hurt, I promise.

1. You should have seen Mr. Cocky Big Head nailing 4th graders with dodge balls.

2. Does Camden look just like Eli or what?

3. I can not even work my magic bullet.

I can't believe how much that picture of Camden looks like Eli...especially in the pic of him on the right of your blog at the cubs game!

I've been eyeing the magic bullet....thanks for your great review!

1. Mr. Cocky Big Head lost?!?! Ask him about nailing one of my former students in Starr Wars. Seriously... kudos for beating him!!!

2. Smores... stop it! You're making me hungry!!!!

3. Here's a thought... you and J should have a Starr Bullet party to show off YOUR favorite things like they do in the infomercial. It may convince more people... or make us all laugh. Either way, it would be the PERFECT way to round out your new Monday posts {which I love by the way :o)}

I love that you are back...Kyle wanted to register for a magic bullet and I said no...Ha! I told him last night that I think we need one (based on your blog). Oh...he wasn't happy that it took someone else to convince me, but he's happy that he gets one now! Ha!!!

I'm sending you my top ten reasons I love Twitter.
