So, it seems I kind of stink at start of the week blogging.
But, Wednesday is here and I am too, with little to report.
We had another stellar weekend. Friday night we ate with my parent's at Old Chicago and Addi went home with them to spend the night. J's parent's then offered to keep Elijah and just like that, we were down to one kid! Amazing! I told J that now having three makes one seem like none. :) J, Cami, and I drove around, got some coffee, and went to pick out blinds at Home Depot. Goodbye, nosey neighbors. Kidding, kidding. I doubt any of our neighbors care or would even want to see the circus inside this house!
Saturday Cam and I met my mom and Addi for breakfast at CJ's, then went to run errands. After naps we played outside and organized the garage. We, then, got really brave and took everyone to the grocery store for a late dinner in the deli and grocery shopping. The highlight of the evening (for me!) was setting a new grocery shopping record. Brace yourselves.
It took only 50 minutes to eat, get enough groceries for a week and half worth of meals, and checkout. Plus, I came in $25 under our average shopping bill. You can call me the grocery shopping goddess. Or something like that.
Sunday was Church, a shortened baseball clinic for J and our small group.
And, that's that.
Obviously, I'm a little late getting back to this post, but you all are GOOD. All correct answers in the baby guessing game. The bad news is that you all will need to divide the prize money ($500 in Missy money) amongst yourselves. Oh, well -- some is better than none, right?
I have several pictures that I think the kids look more alike in than the ones I posted. But, those were just the pics I had with all of them in close to the same pose. You know, there are times when I look at my kids (Camden and Addison, especially) and think they look a lot alike, but more often than not, I'm surprised at how different all they all look. God is amazing! I never would have thought I'd end up with a brown eyed, brown haired beauty; a blue eye, blonde haired dude; blue eyed, brown haired princess. Pretty stinkin' sweet, huh?
Anyhoo, here's a recipe you have to try. I made it last week and it has made it's way into our supper rotation.
California Club Pizza
1 tsp. vegetable oil
1 pkg. refridgerated pizza crust
2 cups diced or shredded cooked chicken
2 cups shredded cheddar and monterey jack cheese blend
2 plum tomatoes
1/4 medium red onions
1 medium avacado
6 slices bacon, thinly sliced, cooked and drained (optional)
1. Preheat oven to 425F. Lightly brush pan with oil (I just used cooking spray). Unroll dough to bottomof pan, gently stretching and pressing dough to cover bottom. Top crust with chicken and sprinkle with cheese. Bake 16-18 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
2. Dice tomatoes, onions, and avacado. Place in mixing bowl. Add juice from lemon and stir.
3. Distribute tomato mixture evenly over pizza. Sprinkle with bacon, if desired (J desired!). Cut pizza into squares and serve.
Very yummy! All credit goes to the Pampered Chef product catalog.
We're off to enjoy the bea-u-ti-ful weather! Later gators.
