You may have gathered from my not-so-subtle hints that, in fact, we did sell our house...and we bought another. Well, technically, both sales are "pending" until closing. I'm trying not to get too excited until all is said and done, but truth be told, I am just soooooo freakin' relieved!
Tomorrow is the inspection of our house. I'm a little nervous. Not sure why. Maybe because this is an older home, but we've done our best to keep it in shape, so I'm praying it goes well.
Now begins the packing process. How the heck did we get so much "stuff?!?" I'm feeling just a bit overwhelmed and can't decide where to start. There's a lot we can live without for a month, but at the same time, there's a lot we can't. Clothes, toys, kitchen utensils, and many misc. items are all necessities. Anyhoo, I'm sure I'll have plenty more posts on the subject of packing alone. You've been warned.
Now, let me tell you about our realtor. He's a gem. Really, truly, awesome.
Julie and Jenni - I am NOT just writing this because I know you're reading! :-)
Steve has gone above and beyond what anyone could expect of a realtor. He's answered every question/email/concern with sensitivity and our family's best interest at heart. He's showed us every house we wanted to see (some, more than once!), put up with our kids, listened to me practically beg for a larger laundry room, helped J crunch all the numbers, and has walked us through this process with just the right amount of guidance.
So, just a shameless plug for the best realtor in town. If you're looking to buy or sell, call Steve Hidder! :-)
