I guess I get to actually put a post on this here thingy. This afternoon we were lucky enough to welcome Camden Shea to our family. She arrived at 3:04 this afternoon. Weighing in at 7lbs 1oz. What a whirlwind. I'll tell the story so that Missy doesn't tell it wrong. We had been at the hospital since Missy woke up with "gas" pains at 4:30 am. We waited and waited until they decided to give her some putosin, honestly does anyone expect me to spell that right? Missy had created a list of things for me to accomplish and the thinking man that I am I decided I would get started in the hospital. You know, knock a couple out early so the rest doesn't seem so tough. Well as I left the birthing room, I thought to myself, "I'm MIGHTY hungry." Imagine that! So I thought that I would first swing over to McD's and grab some food. While waiting for my fresh quarter pounder to be slaughtered, Missy's mom calls and says, "Missy was feeling some pressure and so she they checked her and she is dialated, you might want to hurry back." So, I was now waiting for that fresh meat to get cooked. A minute or two passes, and Jodi calls back, "You better hurry back here." So I finally get my bag o' treats, and speed walk back to the room. I rush in to meet every doctor in the building standing in the room. I throw down my food and rush to her bedside. Not more than 10 minutes later, out comes Camden. That's right, I ALMOST missed the birth of my child. There aren't enough flowers in the world to make up for that one!
All's well that end's well, right. Well, I just thought it was my duty to keep this thingy updated.
J. Starr (Father of 3) Man is that a SCARY thought. And two girls to boot. What did I get myself into?????
