Sorry, I had to take a little blogging break...things around here have been insanely busy!
First things first, my little man is now 1!!! And we had a wonderful Mickey/Minnie birthday party for both kids. Fun, but exhausting! Pics and more on this to come later -- when I have more time!
Secondly, last Friday we put our house up for sale. Woo-hoo! We're so excited to see what God might have in store for our family, but being the impatient people that we are, the suspense is killing us! Not to mention, trying to keep this house in "showing condition" with two little ones running around. Our days/evenings/weekends have been filled with little projects. Projects that, in all honesty, should have been done a long time ago. You know, just touching up paint, deep cleaning, de-cluttering, washing windows, etc. I have to say, though, I am LOVING having my house this clean. Anyone want to stop over without calling? Just kidding. While I'm on the subject, I have to thank our parents. My dad, Mr. Handyman, has spent more time at our house this last week than at his. Thanks to him (and J, of course!) our hardwood floor is fixed and the J-trim is replaced on the back door. My mom has graciously offered to help wash our windows. *Lowering head in shame* This is something I admit that I have never done in the 4 years we've lived here. Both of our parents have our on-call babysitters over the last couple weeks. Whether it be to clean, or for meeting with the realtor or bank, they've graciously offered to keep the kids each and every time. We're just so blessed beyond words. Oh, and I can't forget...a huge thanks to Randy & Terri who have opened their house to all our crap, errr, I mean, stuff! One of the main reasons we need a new home is because this one has a serious lack of storage. We're talking one closet and a dark wine cellar. Not ideal for a family of almost 5, with more toys, clothes, and stuff than JC Penny's. Anyhoo, please pray that we remain patient and this house sells quickly! :-)
Lastly, J's back in school. *sniff, sniff* And we miss him around here. Now on to counting the days until Christmas break...
Again, sorry for the lack of updates, but as you can see our lives have been as crazy as ever.
Stay tuned for posts on my little one-year-old, the b-day party recap (aka LOTS of pics!), baby/pregnancy Q & A, guilty pleasures, and items I've discovered that I can NOT live without.
